Abandoned Vehicle Removal Service
We can resolve the problem of having an abandoned vehicle on your private property, using a two-pronged approach:
1. After receiving the vehicle details from you for the vehicle in question, we will consult the DVLA in order to obtain the last known registered keeper's details, so that we may issue them with 7-days' notice to remove the vehicle, otherwise it shall be removed and scrapped. The timescale from your enquiry to the last known registered keeper being issued with the notice is usually 7 days.
Cost to you: £35.00 + VAT
2. Should the last registered keeper ignore the above notice or fail to remove the vehicle within the given time, we can arrange for the vehicle to be removed from your land and scrapped.
Cost to you: £95.00 + VAT.
In both cases we would forward, by post, a notice that we ask you to display on the vehicle in question, informing that should the vehicle not be removed it will be scrapped within 7 days.
We are an licensed waste carrier by the environment agency to provide this service this is a legal requirement for anyone carrying out this service
These procedures are covered under the Removal & Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 2002 and the Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978.
